What you should do!

Finding the right products for your face is undoubtedly frustrating. Some products may work for others, while some doesn’t, but it’s all completely normal! Because did you know that there are variations in the skin types among individuals? That’s right! Not all skin types are the same, and that’s probably the reason why some products are just not for you.

Don’t worry because GWTG is here to provide you pieces of information about it, and of course, to tell you how the GWTG Sun Stick is the perfect product for any type of skin! So, hop in and learn more about the different skin types. This will be helpful into finding out which type you are in!

  • Normal
  • We think that you’re really lucky if ever you get to have a normal type of skin. To give a brief background, normal skin types are those who do not have any oiliness nor dryness on their skin as they have small pores and a smooth skin texture. But don’t get too complacent since it is still important for people with normal skin type to conduct a regular skin care routine that consists of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. People with a normal skin type must not also forget about using sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or more every day!

  • Sensitive
  • Moving on to the sensitive skin, one thing about this is that may be classified as a skin type or a condition wherein one’s skin may feel a bit itchy or burning. There is a certain redness that occurs on the skin of an individual who has a sensitive skin type. One of the skin care tricks that you must do if you have a sensitive skin is that you should avoid products that are high in fragrance, and we think that the GWTG Sun Stick can offer you that! Other than that, you should be wary of products that have high amount of exfoliants, preservatives and alcohol.

  • Dry
  • The next skin type that we are about to tell you is one of the two most common skin types that an individual encounters, and it is dry skin. This means that one’s skin feels rough or flaky that sometimes, even the scalp is affected due to excessive dryness. This happens when the skin is lacking in oil, thus it is important for those who have dry skin to moisturize more often than others. In several articles, experts also recommended to use products that have ceramides to maintain the moisture barrier of the skin. Quite similar to people with sensitive skin, it is also recommended that they use products that are free of fragrance and alcohol, and noncomedogenic skin care and makeup products.

  • Oily
  • In total opposition to a dry type of skin, people with an oily skin type are those who may feel a bit of grease or may seem to have an overly shiny skin even on a fine, normal day. These individuals with oily skin are said to be more vulnerable to irritations such as acne, whiteheads, blackheads and enlarged pores on the skin, especially on the face. With this, it is vital to choose skin care products that are rich in hydration, but oil-free. Oh, and a secret that we can’t wait to tell you… clay masks are one of the best things to use for those with oily skin!

  • Combination of dry and oily
  • So, now we go down to the last skin type which is technically the combination of both dry and oily skin types. Individuals who have this usually experience dryness on the cheeks, while oiliness on their T-zone area. People with this skin type should use products that are lightweight and alcohol-free. It is also important to use a sunscreen that are at least SPF 30.

With all these said, we hope that we were able to help you determine your skin type and at the same time, choose the right products for your skin… and while you are here, we cannot miss the chance to tell you that the GWTG Sun Stick is perfect for all skin types since it has an SPF 50++ feature and is fragrance-free, meaning your skin will be safe from acne and other blemishes!
